Restaurant & Function Suite Edinburgh - Tusitala
Tusitala in an extremely popular inner city style restaurant situated in the southern part of Edinburgh at Fairmilehead, between Morningside and the city bypass. It is easily accessible and has a large car park.
Many dishes from our menu are cooked in a Wood Burning Oven such as wood roasted chicken, Sea Bass and stone baked Pizzas baked in the traditional way. The restaurant has a new private function suite, catering for 10 - 90 people and is a favourite place for special and family occasions, corporate hospitality, seminars and business meetings.
You cannot fail to be impressed by the contemporary style of the interior as well as a curved curtain wall of glass where you can look out in the Pentland Hills or just watch the world go by.
The menu has a Mediterranean influence; such as Spanish Tapas, Moules Mariniere or Garlic Bread, but also uses locally sourced Scottish produce such as Border Certified Rib Eye Steaks, Marinated Border Lamb, Loch Fyne Smoked Salmon, and East Coast Haddock.
The menu also has a daily Catch of the Day and the Chef's special Dish of the Day.
The choice of hand made sweets will tempt everyone as well as the chefs special dessert of the day, An Espresso, Cappucino or Caffe Latte finishes the meal.
The small wine list is very competitively priced, from house wine at £14.95 to a bottle of Le Bel Olivier Colombard - Sauvignon Blanc, or Grenache - Merlot at £14.95.
Tusitala has it all. Wonderful surroundings, cafe style seating outside beside the water feature, great atmosphere, good food and friendly service. A childrens menu is also available.
It made most of the places that I usually review seem dark and achingly trendy.
